This website is the creation of Rick Robinson, a programmer who emigrated to the Oneonta area in 1990. He worked from home, raising his young family on a hobby farm (with goats, rabbits & chickens) in E. Meredith. Eight years ago, the Robinson family made the big move to the City of Oneonta. Mary Robinson graduated in 2006 from Oneonta State University with a Human Ecology major and Computer Art minor.
The Robinsons combined their design and programming talents and enthusiasm for the Oneonta area to create a directory which highlights local businesses, events, artists, and treasures. The purpose of OneontaOnTheMap website is to help both travellers and locals discover and appreciate unique aspects of our city.
